asked some dude over at caraudio.com and he told me to stick with the RF 3sixty
It's technically an alternative to not having a head unit, or for people who want to keep their stock hu's but want better sound. It's a must have if you want better SQ in your car on a stock HU as there is no other way really to get around the factory equalization. As you turn up the volume on your OEM HU, it lowers the bass output to protect the stock speakers.
Other companies that make MUCH BETTER versions of the Re-Q, In order from greatest to least.
Alpine PXE-H650 ~ Expensive, but the best one available right now
Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty ~ Almost as good as the PXE-H650, but much cheaper save $$$
JL Cleansweep ~ Still expensive, but only flattens the signal. Would require a seperate EQ to do as the other above units do already.
Re-Q ~ Don't know much about it, except it's like a low-end version of the 3Sixty
Sometime around Fall of 2007 JBL Will be releasing their MS-8 Processor which will blow all other signal processors out of the water that are currently available.

yeah i im deciding between those 2 right now.. the LC6 or the 3sixty.. no idea which one to get.. the LC6 is $50 cheaper.. but supposedly the 3sixty has alot more functions and is def. worth the extra 50..

Dont have any distortion or hiss with my unit.Have my HU volume set at 40 and did the calibration on the Cleansweep.Only downside is if you want to keep a clean flat signal using the RF or JL,you must use the units volume control.Using the HUs volume control afterwards would just make purchasing the units kinda moot.

so your HU is set pretty high though... i think if i turn down my cleansweep volume i dont hear the distortion when the hu volume is 0, but if my cleansweep volume is high i can hear it...

for those people who have the cleansweep installed and have no hissing sound, do you still use the HU to control the volume or do you use the cleansweep volume ****?

300/4 amp too.I was reading the manual and it says that if u want to use the HU to control the volume you will get some hiss and if u just stick with the cleansweep volume it wont happen. The hiss can be heard when there is no music playing. The hiss is always there even when music is playing, just that it wont be noticeable.

toasted azn, quick question. I try to calibrate my cleansweep and both my left side speakers are successful but my right speakers dont have a steady green light. What may cause this to happen?
