I doubt you can drift, but you can force it to oversteer. Disable the stability control (pedal dance in the 2006, button in the 2007), put it in PWR mode, and hold 2nd gear with the sport shifter. Then, foot to the floor and turn the wheel hard... and be sure you have plenty of space around you as the rear will really rotate.

I can confirm that under normal driving, its rear biased. It became really evident to me in snow, when I would take 90 degree turns slowly and just jab the throttle a little towards the 'corner' exit. Spectacular tail out action, but all the while completely under control, you can feel the system trying to adjust power to keep you from going completely out of control. Made the same turn in snow mode, the difference is night and day. You either don't slide and when you do, its a 4 wheel drift, no countersteer. I've driven a Subaru WRX in the same conditions, and it feels very similar to the IS350 AWD in snow mode. It has a 50:50 split effectively, so I know the snow mode really works and makes a difference. That's what I love about this car, the split personality. Would be awesome to have a switchable RWD "drift" mode like 4MATIC+, but this is more than good enough for street driving. And why I have a love-hate relationship with snow here.
