Alignment needed for new 19's?

Are you kidding?! Lexus charges $189 for a four-wheel alignment, and they can't even adjust the camber??? I'm having new Michelins (from TireRack) put on mine tomorrow, and the tire installer charges $60 for an alignment - I'm going to let them do it.

alignment is a waste of money on the 2IS. My cousin lowered his 07 IS250 with Tanabe DF210's from a GS to get the lowest drop with 20' Iforged.
He wasted $50 for an alignment which didnt fix anything because the toe was still within factory specs. Also the camber was only off by about 0.5 degrees from factory specs too. The alignment was supposed to be $80 but they only charged him $50 because it was already straight and they adjusted the toe barely just to say they did the work.

Mine didn't pull, either. I didn't do a good job checking my tire wear, and haven't hit any big pot holes, so I figured alignment was okay. I was wrong. After 12,800 miles, I finally turned the wheels enough to see the insides of the tires, and one is completely worn out. So...

Well, if you are dragging the inside of a tire sideways a few feet for each mile you drive (excessive tow out), then, yes, theorhetically, your gas milage would suffer a tiny percentage. However, in my 40+ years of driving, I've never heard of that as a reason to align. The cost in tires would be the reason. If your tires are wearing *very* evenly, and it's not pulling one way or the other, then you probably don't need an alignment.
