asking the OP to explain why underbody neon kits look cool is a bit of a stretch for an 18-year-old. we all went through the same idiotic tendencies at one point or another...

Yeah, it's your car and of course you can do what you like to it. I think you were pretty much ready for people's reactions, so that's cool.

That said... I'd never spend money to make my car look cheaper... and I've never cared what "ricers" thought about my car...

And if you thought you had vandalism issues at your school with your car, these extra mods aren't going to cut down on the attention your car gets.

But hey, I wish I had the means to do all you do with your toys back when I was your age, so have fun and try it out.

What exactly is your definition of rice ? I really like the puddle lamps and say if you like it, go for it. Oh, good thing those who don't like them are not on the east coast....you'd have to put up with mine....

i think the lights look pretty. haha... but i am easily amused as long as you dont have it on all the time then go for it. it looks stupid on a civic but i think with an IS it would look interesting. just dont get caught

Hey don't forget to put some stickers on your windows or down the front side of your car. Follow that up with a fart can exhaust that produces no power, and some blue lighting somewhere. Now you can go hang out with the high school kids and the cobalt ss or neon's. Freaking ghey

Now if they work off the puddle light's and only come on at that point, then it's still kind of gay, but less gay then them being on the whole time.

while you are at it you should get some of these too.

There is a huge difference between puddle lamps and under car neon kits.

MrMark your car looks clean and has it's own style.

Sticking some streetglow neon under a car is just jank.

my two cents is that outside of a hot import nights event, neon or fluorescent underbody kits are just out of place. I will reserve judgment on the LED puddle lights until I see some in person but for sure the underglow stuff tends to evoke too much of the Fast & Furious scene for me. For a classy car like a Lexus it cheapens the look of the car and to be honest it does a disservice to all the other Lexus owners who try to keep their cars looking clean and classy. How many Porsches, Mercedes, Aston Martins do you see out there with underbody lighting? Not too many in my neighborhood.
In the end it's your car, and your money, but you did ask for our opinions.

If anything get the puddle lights... as the others have said they look better than the underbody glow kits.
