white or gray?
starfire pearl or smoky granite mica??
which one would you pick if you have the option to pick either one.
my old car is black and i am done with black and dark colors. i want something bright and it wont get dirty that fast like black. BUT this mica is getting to me and its one of the best colors for the IS. Starfire... as of now i really want to get a white car. but i cant make up my mind. YES, both colors are wanted and a lot of people have it. that doesnt really bother me as much. but anyways... which one would you pick?? if you have these colors already, please post pictures... lots and lots of pictures!! this is the most annoying, hardest part of buying a new car

If you like girls, smoky granite mica. If you like boys, starfire pearl.
I'm kidding. But there are some stereotypes about the white color.
I have the SMG. It does get dirty and show chips somewhat frequently, but it does look very nice when clean, so pick your poison.

I myself prefer the starfire, when i park my car in the sun you can see the pearl from angles, really really nice. I saw the SGM at the stealership and it also looked nice, it would probally hide the brake dust better but it didnt leave the same 'impact' as the starfire. imo...

I think SMG is an "in-person" color, as photos don't do it complete justice. I think you'll be happy with either one, so just go to the dealer already! It's two of the most popular colors, so it'll most likely be in stock.

Sometimes I wish I would have gotten the white one... After all the damn micro scratches you see in the crappy paint these cars have, I regret getting black. White would have been my other choice. Dont get the SGM color though, thats like the most common color ever now! Get something that will stand out a bit more and not look to common and neutral.

Starfire Pearl is not "pearly" enough. I want more shine/glitter with white.
Smokey Granite Mica is rather "pearly." I can see more glitter on it, and it gives the body panels a "glow."
Between the two, SGM would be my choice. I hope Lexus adds more character on their white colors in the future (like how Glacier Frost has "characeter")...

lol thats funny you said that i think it was like the first week i had my car and no one even knew what the car was(when it first came out) i was pulling out of this club and some kId screams "what guy drives a white lexus" after getting calmed down to not get out and whell whatever i jus sat there and smoked the tires then he shutup Lol but why do people have this sterotype of white lol.

Err... ok lets PRETEND that i'm some guy that has nolife, his IS350 is a garage queen, spends all his time surfing forums, looking for anime to dl, chats on IRC constantly... NOT THAT I AM *cough* Its for those guys who dont know what this stereotype is, can someone please explain it?
