I am so excited!!!!first major purchase since clearbra and tint....
I must be bad at searching or something but I cannot find the DYI on the air dam installation...I know one of the members here did a really good one to follow.
Also anyting on the rear spoiler install would help. I am not sure if I should use the screws and drill it in or just tape it up. If I tape it up where do I get the additional tape from? Hardware store?
Thanks! I'll be sure to post pics once its installed!

There are many types of 3M double sided tape. What you will find at Home Depot and Lowe's is heavy duty tape meant for all kinds of home use. It is probably sufficient for attaching spoilers and the like. However, a quick search on the Bay turns up a 3M Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape. It is listed as 'High Performance/OEM Approved' for use in attaching Body side moldings - Claddings - Rocker panel trim - Wheel flares - other exterior trim parts. It comes in various sizes but I've used the 1/2" x 5 yd roll to good effect ($10 per roll). I figure if you are going to attach parts with the tape only you should use the real deal automotive kind that is meant to bond plastic to painted steel. Catalogue number 06384.

Do it the proper way and just drill it. You are never going to take off the spoiler so installing it the way Lexus does makes more sense. At least thats how I installed my rear spoiler.

I think if keeping the car for a long time I think drilling for the spoiler will be the way to go, think about all the heat we have blasted on our car everyday is the tape going to hold on, with the wind force that it has to diffuse.
It looks like some amount of work to take out the trunk panels or is it not a big deal? Actually drilling can't be too bad, it comes with templates... and you can always over size the holes a little and use a big fender washer if you do mess it up a little (speaking from exp of a generic wing install) I have looked up spolier installation and someone was having a problem with the spoiler lifting on one side.
Are you in the Bay Area or SoCal?

the front air dam installation is so easy. hell it can even be done without lifting up the car..
As for the trunk spoiler, I wouldnt drill holes unless you are having a professional installer do the install for you. I did the no drilling method. No problems so far..

I just purchased the exact same 2 items for my IS250 as well...
I want to install the spoiler with just tape as well, is there a DIY instruction from anyone who's done this on CL?
Also, can anyone who's had experience with installing the air dam post instruction for that too? The Lexus instructions make it seem very complicated but based on some feedback I've heard from others it is supposedly very very easy. Is there drilling involved?
Thanks in advance
