Default Front Bumper Seam

I just got my IS home less then 24 hrs ago and this morning noticed that there is a seam along the car's midline at the very bottom of the front bumper. And mine is not flush. I guess that it's off by a little more then an 1/8th inch. I'm going to take it to deal tomorrow to see if they can do anything about it, but I wondering if it's a common thing. This is my first new car and of course a Lexus so I want every thing to be perfect.

Mine is flush and the two pieces butt up to each other perfectly. Yours does not look right to me. Have them fix it.

No I'm not...I didn't say I was returning the car. I said I was going to see if they could do anything about it.

I notice mine was off by a little bit just like yours ... after I pulled too far forward in a parking space and scraped the front lip on the curb.

If you just got the car like that, my guess is someone did the same while parking your car somewhere. Seriously though it's not a big deal, you can probably pull it or push it a little to get it to line up, the bumper flexes a fair amount. That's probably all the dealer would do as well, or unscrew a few pieces, and push it around a little then screw it back together.

first time you hit or pull away from a parking block (and you WILL) it will look like that again. Just get a 10mm socket and fix it yourself.

Mine is sticking out a little too, not quite as bad as on the original poster's car. It's not nearly as unsightly as all of the dead bugs that are currently decorating my front bumper...
