I agree... It sounds like an OK deal to me... But of course, dealers are going to want to charge more for a 2008 model, even if there are no changes... Still, the most anyone should pay for an IS350 is $1500 over invoice... A good deal is close to invoice... A great deal is invoice...

Honestly, there really shouldn't be any difference with the 2008... and since we are approaching the end of 2007 production, there should be some HOT (less than invoice) deals on 2007's pretty soon...

Doubt it.....

The most discount I seen for IS350 on lots right now not moving, is $1,000 over actual dealer invoice...
(Depending on options and etc)

IS250's are selling below actual dealer invoice right now due to OVER STOCK....

I wish it was the other way around, but I'm sure Lexus knows exactly what they are doing...

Boils down to basic economics:

Hi guys... sorry for a slow reply as I've been in Orlando for the past few days at the theme parks. Lesson learned on one of the rides---> Background--> at Universal Islands of Adventure, the Popeye ride is a large circular raft that goes through strong currents and there are many waterfalls and such; they warn the rider "you will get wet". Well, it was hot and getting a bit wet would feel good. Oh how I was wrong! I was completely soaked as our raft was not balanced (light people on one side, heavy on the other) which always put me (98lbs) under the waterfalls and soaked by the water entering the boat. Lesson learned--> don't wear WHITE!! For the remainder of the day as I walked through the park, let's just say that there was very little left to the imagination.

Back to the IS... With all options (sport, nav/ml, rear spoiler, full ground effects) and not including tax/tag/title... Just over $42k. Hope this helps. Having hard figures with me/us and a previous relationship with the competing dealership helped get a reasonable price.

Sounds like fun, but did you know:

On a similar ride, a faulty exit platform injured five visitors and an employee at the Kali River Rapids ride in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.

No Preferred Accessory Pkg ???
(Includes Cargo Mat, Cargo Net & Wheel Locks.)

Awesome!! Looks like you are getting your special order 2008 for just about $1,000 over actual dealer invoice..

That is a GOOD deal in my opinion!!

I'm sure the Z1 preferred acc pkg is on there...

If it is in fact only $1000 over invoice for a 2008 sport nav/ml, that's a GREAT deal!

Well we gotta make sure these days....

I heard of a few people that actually do not want that option..

I re-ran the numbers on Edmunds With all options (sport, nav/ml, rear spoiler, full ground effects) & factored in Z1 pkg, additional dealer invoice fees and then factored in $1,000 over and came up with $42,391

So if she is in that ball park number shes getting it for $1,000 over the actual dealer invoice..

The IS350 I ordered will come with wheel locks, mats, and net. JoeZ, you're figures are accurate.

Sweet..

I've been doing my homework for several weeks regarding a special order and I will have a write up soon on my car shoping experience in So Cal.

I should be selling these cars.....

I would give everyone a deal!!!

Hey Joe... not to get off topic, but where is the info regarding the "Joe Z" intake? As soon as my IS gets here, we'll do a few mods. Thanks...

Joe...this didn't include that last $500 or so "something" add on, most dealers, including JM, are so fond of surprising us with at the last minute...RIGHT?

Thanks....

I would be one of them. I questioned why they gave me that option when I never put that down on my actual Preference Order. I made sure the General Manager, had that in writing on my new Preference Order.
