ps. also thinking of buying one of those 40k minivan for my wife it is worth it !
The minivan has everything that the IS has, and some things it doesn't. Our van actually has the cruise control that slows you down automatically if you begin to approach a slow moving vehicle. This feature is available on the IS if you special order.
Van is loaded with the nav, dual power sliding doors that open with the touch of the remote, power liftgate, dvd player, etc.
I've managed to keep it relatively clean, even though my kids have a penchant for trashing it. The investment is well worth it IMO, and it allows me to have my fun car, which is the IS.
Ummm...simply compare the new Camry to the Lexus IS and you will see my point. The nav is the same, the steering wheel controls are the same, and the engine is almost identical. Camry is a bit bigger, so it doesn't get the 306 hp that the IS gets.
I popped open the hood of the new Camry and was amazed at the similarities to the IS350.
By the way, a fully loaded Camry can be had for nearly $8K less than a 350.
You can't expect children to not look abit like their parents. Having said that, no child is identical in looks to their parents.
I don't agree with the Isx50 looking similar to the Camry, you can tell one is classier just but the looks of it from the outside.
Oy...we have twins that are almost 3 years old. There is a solution...behold my stable below:
Man, twins........... my freind just had twins. I can barely keep up with my one!
yeah, the more i think about it the more i dont want to sell it.
Again i cant find anything out thier that really compares
Yessirree!!! My kids love it so much that they won't touch my IS.
Thats awesome, I wish I had a minivan like that when I was growing up. Note to self, get a loaded minivan with all bells and whistles so the kids don't touch the IS!
I think that most people who turn them that quickly simply realized that they needed a larger car and were mistaken in thinking that just because the IS has four doors they would be able to make a family sedan out of it.
I made a family sedan out of my IS300 for the last 5 years....

Yeah, no kidding. My kids are a bit spoiled. When I was growing up, I was lucky to get a cheap walkman knockoff that I could listen to a few cassette tapes in while my folks had their music on (Barry Manilow).
I still remember the 8 track player and the CB radio that my dad had in the 1976 Chevy Nova.
A dvd player in the car so that I could watch movies? LOL...I would have gone nuts if I could have had that luxury when I was a kid.
We hold season tickets for LSU football, so we drive to Louisiana for the home games. When the kids fall asleep in the back, I let my wife take the wheel, pop in a movie, put on my wireless headphones, and enjoy the rest of the drive to Baton Rouge.
