LOL, so then the answer would be "no" if you ask the dealer, but if they never find out, then its all good.

Yep, mine is a lease...... its lowered, tinted, I have Aftermarket HID's and it has wheels......
as long as the moddifications are not permently mounted you are good.

I would say it would be ok but it depends on the dealer. If you are planning on taking it to the dealer for services, they could technically take note that the car is modified. But I would say that if you decided to turn the car in after the lease is up as long as it was stock I doubt they would care. And besides wheels and exhaust wouldn't be a big deal. Now if you decided to boost it, once that sort of thing is avail for the 2IS, I would say naw.

If you intend on buying out your car at the end of the lease, do whatever you want, it's your car.

But if you return it, then you can't mod it, even if you do only minor mods where you can return the car to stock, cuz the dealer will take note of it in your record when you service your car.

Lexus would enforce this rule on you if you decide not to buy out the car or if you are not leasing/buying another car from them. but if you continue to do business with them, then even if you return your lease car modded, they'll let it go.

Even if you own the car, they can take "note" of moddifications for future warranty disputes. Unless you own your car free and clear and you are not financing it then technically you can do whatever you want, becasue they could raise issue no matter what. I have not had a single issue with the dealer, and they know my car is leased etc. But i think you are right it depends on your specific dealer.
