Take it in. About the only thing they will do is change the oil/filter and give it a look see to see if anything is out of sorts. But it is worth it for the first service, plus it's FREE.

That begs the question ..... WHY ??
Isn't is so obvious? He enjoys buying oil It's certainly not because he thinks changing his oil every month is necessary it any way, shape, or form.

yes..he truly must just enjoy buying oil.
He may just be driving the car very little and changing the oil every 6 months regardless of mileage, per the maintenance manual.
My car is 1 year old this month and has 4,600 miles. I intend to have the oil changed (for the second time) to keep it on the time interval. I follow factory recommendations until I have a good reason not to when it comes to service. The only thing I truly skip are the "inspections" - I just pay for the actual service/replacement items.
man you guys dont drive yall car at all huh? mine is a month old and have almost 4000 miles on it
LOL im at 1month and ive put on 730mi and thats with as much unnesseary driving as possible to break it in. Once i hit about 2-3k mi i'll go back to the normal 200mi'ish per month
I follow the time recommendation as I don't drive enough to go by mileage. I've had my car for 8 months and just hit 6000km, which is like 3700 miles. I'll be at about 4500 miles when the car is one year old. If I went by the mileage recommendation I'd be changing it every 14 months.
