I still see so many mags ragging about how the IS 350 doesn't come with a six speed manual, but it seems to me from reading over these forums, that many of you are happy with your automatics and may not necessarily prefer a manual.

So, if a manual gearbox was available in the IS 350, how many of you would honestly consider buying one for yourself?

I would seriously consider it.
As of now, with only the slush box for the IS350, I am not even considering it, as much as I like it's styling & many other things . . .

I would have purchased the IS350 if it came manual... I just love manual vehicles, didn't like the ride of the G35... thought the 350Z would be impractical for Canadian winters (although I loved the test drive)... and I found the IS250 to be just right... although a little underpowered (which can be somewhat fixed )... but other than that I just find driving a manual to be way more fun, which in the end is what I wanted. Besides I know a lot of guys here use their car to commute to work and such... I work from my house and whenever I travel I have car services pick me up, rentals and I fly everywhere... so I never have to drive the manual for work... just enjoyment, which can make all the difference to some people... IMO.

If I was single and not married... maybe, but now after going 4 years since my last manual I don't think I'd buy a manual car ever.... So that puts me at happy where I'm at.

If Lexus made the IS350 with a good manual transmission (e.g. one that shifts like a Miata or an S2000, rather than like a truck), I'd definitely have bought it over the automatic.

I have no trouble driving a luxury car with a stick, that what my previous car (Audi S4) had.

I came from a 6MT g35 coupe. If they had made the 350 with an MT, I would have seriously considered it.

I am perfectly satisfied with the auto though. From a practical standpoint, a Lexus sedan with an MT would be much harder to sell.

I agree but I wouldn't consider the cars listed as luxury car more of sporty cars.

This is my first auto car and I've always loved manual transmission but whenever I sit in traffic I love the auto.

I would......... but I have to divorce my wife first. Couldn't even buy the 250 MT because she doesn't know how to drive stick. Made up my mind though on my next ride. Hmmm.
