Here's my opinion on these:
They look fantastic, but LED's in the headlight housing tend to burn out much quicker than bulbs. This is because MOST LED's are more prone to burnout in heat, and with HID's being on, it gives off more heat, shortening your LED bulb life. Now some higher quality LED's (such as the ones in the new LS460hL and Audi R8) are resistant to the heat. Not sure about these particular ones.
Also, I'm pretty sure these will not pass a state inspection of headlights, seeing as the high beams are now too weak to even be high beams now. Sure they will radiate light, but like the thread says, it wont get brighter than they already are.
Finally, although the LED's do look pretty cool, it is possible to get the exact same color BULBS (not LEDs) for the high beams, which will give off the same look, retain the orginal high beam function if you ever need it, as well as keep the longivity of the item without fear of burn out. I bought these for my car, the hyper white silverstar bulbs. They were $40.00, but look amazing. I'll take pics shortly for comparison purpose.
