Nice, youre awesome! Take some pics and post as soon as you get them! Youll probably end up convincing the rest of is to change to these!

if they fit into the vanity lights, then those seem like a good alternative too.

If you search google for "168 smt led" you'll get results for 2 designs. One is the 5 led design like here http://frickinbrite.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=40_114 and the other is the 25 led from my first post.

Here's a couple pictures with the leds. SMT leds on the left, oem incandescent on the right. The led do a good job of filling up the housing. It's as full or even a little fuller then the oem bulbs. The Leds are more blue then the oem, but I still prefer the leds. Also I plan on replacing my HID bulb's with 6000K bulbs so they'll match better then. The only problem I found with them is that the base fits too loosely in the harness. Nothing a little electrical tape didn't fix.

Yea first i heard of city lites is when i came here after i bought the lexus. BTW... so many headlite threads, we really need to make one comprehensive headlite thread for the DIY section with pics of bulbs and detailed explinations on the entire front of car... the lighting mod thread is like 24ish pages long and noobs dont bother going thru every page...

They are the 25 SMT led that are pictured in the first post. Here's a few comparison shots. The pictures on the left are all from the slightly above the level of the headlights while the right pictures are taken from the same level as the headlights. In the right housing is the 5 led retractor while the left has the 25 smt leds. The 25 smt fills out the housing better but not a lot. Given that the 5 led can be had for about $10 while the 25 smt led cost me around $20 I'd say the 5 led are a much better deal.

personally, next time I'm in there I'll probably take the old bulbs and disable them so they won't come on at all (break off the wire on the old bulb). Currently running the 5 VLED and they're a tad too blue for me.

I'll post pics when I do this.

Did you try rotating them 180 degrees? With leds the polarity of the bulb matters. If the positive and negative ends of the socket are connected to the incorrect ends of the led nothing will happen.

Sorry Ben... I've always called those parking lights....

Back in the early 90's during the Honda Era... alot of people drilled holes into their headlamps to fit 194's and called it city lights.
