Standing burn out - How to?
As I'm sure most, if not all, of us have seen a standing burn out at some point in our life. (For those who dont know, it's just hitting the gas, while locking the front brakes so the rear spin, yet you dont move)
I was wondering if this is possible in the IS350. I know when brakes are applied majority of it goes to the front, but to do this you can't have any brake force to the rear. I'm assuming there is a fuse you have to pull out or something of that sort (as in my 350Z).
So I was wondering if anyone has done one successifully, or if anyone knows how to do one? Thanks!

Turn off VDMI, hold down the brake and floor it. After it starts to spin you can let off the brake a little. SEE WHAT HAPPENS!
But if you have to ask I would recommend doing it in a parking lot with nothing around you!

Yep. That's why burn-outs are not so good, you're essentially braking and trying to move your rear wheels at the same time. But the braking force isn't that great so... It'd be okay if you don't do it frequently.

Since we don't have a LSD, will only 1 rear wheel spin?
Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM):
Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM):
It acquires data from a host of sensors strategically placed throughout the car. Information picked up includes wheel rotation, brake pressure and movement of the car's body. Thus informed, VDIM will apply various stability and safety systems - such as Anti-Lock brakes (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Traction Control (TRC), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Electric Power Steering (EPS) - to varying degrees. This achieves an optimum that could not be found if each application worked independently.

How to: Find Large Parking Lot without obstructions, away from someone you could hurt. Turn off VDIM - For 2007 Hold Stability Control Button down for ten seconds or until both lights are on; 2006 pedal dance (refer to other posts); Apply Break, Floor it and let'm spin.
Post op: Go to favorite tire shop and price new tires. Good Luck
