Anything is possible! They can steal your key.

There have been cases of high tech thieves stealing smartkey equipped cars using nothing more than a laptop and some sophisticated software (http://www.leftlanenews.com/gone-in-...teal-cars.html), but the incidence of that kind of theft is rare enough that I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

These days its pretty hard to steal these cars (IMO), most smash and grab. Eitherway, I say let them have it - I don't worry about it anymore, I just hope [they] don't find it if they do as they're never the same.

If someone really wants it, they'll find a way of getting it.

Is it easy? Well, the level of ease depends on the thief's level of expertise...

I am more worried about someone dinging, scratching or keying my car than stealing.

It is possible to steal this thing. Now does anyone know if I start the car and walk away from it (with key in my pocket) can someone still drive it away without key being detected? Or the car will refuse to do anything?

Nothing is theft proof. If someone wants it bad enought they will take it.

Yes, someone can drive it away without the key if you leave the motor running. They won't be able to restart it after turning it off, but that won't matter if their intention was to go for a joyride or to bring it to a chop-shop.

Given enough time with the right tools, I don't think it matters what kind of security system is available to the average person.
