I looked at a co-workers IS250 and he also isn't 100% flush, but better than mine.

I've seen this before on other cars but didn't expect this on a Lexus, maybe a Toyota/Honda. If it wasn't 100% flush, I'd expect some sort of rubbering between to keep a tight seal to prevent rain and other elements from going inside.

Anyone else have this issue?
There should be a fix for this. I've done it...It'll not look flush like before, but it is a little better after they change some bracket in the front bumper.

Do you know which exact bracket it was? Was the gap mainly on the driver side of the bumper or equal on both? If you can give me this info, I can maybe get the dealer to do it on my 5k service.

Thanks!

The IS are made in Japan, are they not?

Update:

I talked to Lexus Corp. today regarding this issue and stated "Over 10 other owners I know have the same issue", and I will be contacted within 2 business days to discuss how to get this fixed.

I will recommend they issue a TSB to have the bumper re-aligned (if needed) for us IS owners. It's a simple fix, remove bumper, adjust any brackets, and put the bumper back on, as t.is350.h stated.

t.is350.h, if you dont mind, please specify which bracket it is, and where it's located on the bumper (middle/left/right/top/bottom) ect.

I'll update again soon as I hear from Lexus Corp.

I'm sorry I don't know what part that is. I'll go home and find the receive tonight, hopefully I still have. If I have it I'll post which part# for you. Cross the finger . If your dealer can cross reference with keys lexus in van nuys, or lexus of glendale, there are plenty information about that.

I'll do that if you can't find the part number. My service shop has a bunch of jerks, rather not ask them questions because chances are they wont give me proper info since I'm not paying for the info. hah.

Sorry, been a little busy. It's nothing that requires a picture though. Just picture a 5-7mm gap between headlights and bumper. If you dont see a gap, then you dont have one

Oh! I had the same thing happen! I took it to the dealer and told them of the gap and they said oh sure we'll fix it. Like said before they adjust some bracket on the hood and it fits just flush and perfect as new, I dont know what caused it but it looks new just like before.

Its hard to see but if you look on the left side right about the headlight the hood is not flush by a small margin with the headlight. If you look on the other side picture you can see its flush.

Ok guys. Sorry for the delay. I couldn't find the received yesterday. Any way I found it, and it didn't list any part# on it. The service guy told me that they change some bracket in the bumper, but I didn't see it list on the receive. On to the receive.
Comment: Adjusted left frt headlight to correct
Part number: Lex A1/auto/body
PO#: 121086
Description: INV7425/repairs
All the above = $245 (charged to lexus) It is warranty fix.

SParker1TX, i had same issue with my IS, it was a simple fix for me,
when you open the hood, there's two rubber things that you can turn clockwise/counterclockwise to move that side up or down, that'll flush the hood for you, just gotta adjust em,
hope that helps,..
