Tire Question
Curious to why people are getting higher sized tires for the front?
Tire Size Front: 235/35/19
Tire Size Rear: 275/30/19
ront: 245x35x19 - offset 35 +3mm hubcentric spacer (clear bb)
rear: 275x30x19 - offset 42? no spacer
Also any opinions to the most quiet Tire out there for some 20's?
Thanks.

for example on my car my stock rear was
255/40/18 (stock)
275/30/19 (after)
Those are basically the same diameter around. I can't explain it as good as the article

'higher' larger diamer = mostly looks. There is a reason you don't find a lot of racing wheels larger than 18's.

Good info, I would stick with wider.

example for 2IS: 4:56 with 15" rims/3.73 with 20" rims (these are not correct just an example)

I get all that but they are getting higher sidewalls than the back..
35 series in front vs. 30 series in back... Shouldn't the sidewall size match? I am thinking with that kind of set up it would look like its riding lower in the back higher in the front. What is the reasoning in that?

Not exactly. Take 35% of the 235 versus 30%of 275. So the sidewall size would be determined by taking 235 and times it by 35 percent and for the rear it would be 275x30% that is how it is determined how high the sidewall is.

Wider is not always better. If its not necessary than why get it? It costs more and its heavier. I would suggest getting whats recommended. IMO. And for a quiet tire, Ive heard that the Falken FK452's are excellent for quiet. You should actually check out General Exclaim UHP's theyre cheap and actually a very good tire.

haha damn and you figure sizing would be the key to making it universal. So its like a damn shoe foreal everyone fits differently. so falken is quiet I have also seen that the Pzero Nero is quiet too.. How about a verdict on the TOYO t1rs.

I just put on Bridgestone Re960 All Seasons and I love them. I think you give a little cornering but for the noise and comfort of the tire with 19s it still feels stock or close to it. This tire got good reviews on tirerack as an allseason tire. I have the Generals on the wifes car and I feel like I am in a peterbuilt because of the noise.
