I'm a 62 y/o dad, and I didn't even want a Lexus until the IS350 came out! I may have a little more trouble getting in and out, than those of you with so much less life-experience, but when I'm in, I'm only in my 30's.

Well, who’s going to stick up for us older folks? Yes, using a little reverse stereotyping, some of you would be happier if I drove an old Buick Roadmaster, LaSabra or Lincoln Towncar. Well, until I’m forced to drive a wheelchair I’m sticking with performance cars.

Demographics - crap! My wife just applied for Social Security, and I'm not all that far behind her. You all have a problem with us 'ancient' folks? Guess what, if you manage to live that long, you'll be the 'ancient' folks sooner than you think. Sorry to disappoint, but there are some of us ‘old folks’ that happen to like faster cars, like to drive and can still handle the twisties. I would address you to a couple of youngsters with a WRX and an Volvo SC70 that couldn’t believe their yes, when this old fart managed to not only keep up with them, but pass them on a rather interesting mountain road – and that we with the RX, wishing I’d driven the IS that would have been even more fun!

I'm in my late 40's and I can tell you all with certainty, I will always love cars and the faster/sportier the better. Only reason I'm not driving an IS350 is the small size of the car. And that's the only reason. I love the car.
After driving a G35 for a year, let me tell you I miss it. Love my GS350 but it isn't a sports car.
Young guys trip me out thinking they have ownership of cool...like us older guys lost our cool somewhere on life's journey. We grew up, we didn't die!

I say let the old man buy whatever he wants and be thankful he is still around. My father recently passed away unexpectedly in December. I came home from a Holiday party and got a call from the Coroner's office. You just never know how short life really is. He wasn't sick really that I was aware of either. After he buys just ask to borrow it all the time.

That is my 2 cents.
