Default Question I am trying to get a pair of bumper plugs

Hi.. I have a question

I own 07 IS350 Obsidian color

Dealer drilled my bumper so I am trying to get a pair of bumper plugs

I searched about bumper plugs and found bumperplugs.com

But I don't see my color(obsidian) on the list

Is there a similar color for that?

Thanks..

Have your color code at hand; and give Eric a call at bumperplug. He knows his stuff and will take care of you.

you need black?

I'd recommend going to Autozone and getting the 12 pack for $1.99 -- seriously....they have them!

I have the same color car and already ordered the plugs from bumperplugs.com. Black matches fine, however, if your dealer JUST drilled the holes youll be okay and they will work. If the license plate mount was ALREADY screwed in when you got the car (ie if there was ever a screw in the holes they drilled) the bumper plugs wont work. I had to send mine back.

When they tighten a screw in the drilled hole to mount the license plate bracket on your bumper it creates a nipple that sticks out about 1/4". Because of this the bumper plugs will not sit flush. Bumperplugs.com will tell you to just drill the hole out, but the size of the nipple it creates is so big that once you drilled them out to the point where they are flush again, the hole would be too big to hold the bumper plug.

Good info. So are you going to stay with the front plate, or get the holes filled and bumper repainted?

Well for about a week I left the plate off and just had the hole showing, but every time I looked at the front of my car it hurt seeing holes there plus the bolt marks from the license plate itself. So I ended up with one of the front mini plates instead... I dont like it really, but it makes me feel better than the holes did.

Just do aerotech bumper plugs. Took less than 5 minutes to install, drill holes out to 1/4" and then used a knife to clean up around the holes.

50+ for a license plate frame... i'd rather spend 15 on the bumper plug and then spend the 35 on food
