There's no rev limiter at 4000 RPM, either. Anyone who was at the exhaust comparo at EOS V last year can remember at least 4 IS350's revving all the way to the redline... Lance, you were there, too!!

Yes, I was. I had forgot about that. I don't recall hearing anyone hit an artificial rev limiter in any car.

Im not gonna debate weather rev'ng your engine while in park/neutral will do more harm, the whole point is OP just wanted to hear how his intake/exhaust sounded. BUT as such things go here ppl start going off topic.

Only lobuxracer *he knows his lubricants * mentioned the con-rods. Thats why its not a good idea to get stupid on wet roads, i have first hand xp with throwing a rod on a t-3 in a '74 coupe on a wet road I do agree that materials are much better than they were 20yrs ago especially in this 'drift' era (which is OLD too just not old in the US).

BUT i do have to respond to one thing thou...

EVERYTIME you go for a cruise with your friends you = 'increases engine wear and wastes gas'.
Everytime you pick up a fat girl on the side of the road you = 'increases engine wear and wastes gas', thats what the secret button is for
Everytime you goto work you = 'increases engine wear and wastes gas' cuz theres always public transportation.
Everytime you see a open stretch of road and decide to open it alitte you = 'increases engine wear and wastes gas'.
DUDE everytime you start up the car and drive anywhere with it you = 'increases engine wear'.
I wont get into the 'wastes gas' bit cuz theres electric cars n stuffs....

Could it also be that the K&N Intake is letting more air than need therefore the MAF sensor cuts itself out? I dont know if this is even possible. In a way it doesn't make sense because while driving I can go all the way and never have had a problem.

LOL... Look at some youtube videos. You can clearly hear people hitting the rev limiter, while showing off their new exhaust...

Ok now I am beginning to get worried...lol. I was hoping someone knew about this issue. I dont want to take it to the delear because they are probably going to through into account that I already put an Intake so that could be the problem. Alot of people on here have the same set-up I have and probably never had a problem with it. I am going to try and reset the ECU and change the K&N filter to an AEM Dry Flow filter to see if this helps. I was due to clean my filter anyways so might as well just get a new one.

Are you saying your engine won't rev past 4k rpm even when driving down the road? If this is the case, you made the ECM angry and it is in a safe mode. You need to have your DTCs scanned to see if there is a code set (and there will be if you can't go past 4k rpm in any gear). The code will tell you which system is unhappy, then you can go about resolving the issue causing the problem.

Lots of the car places will run a code scan for you, and unless I am mistaken you can even rent a code scanner from Autozone. That's where I'd start if you can't rev past 4k rpm at all in any gear.

No, My case is not that bad. While driving I can go through all the gears and redline it. This only happend to me that day in the parking garage that I couldn't rev passed 4,000 RPM. I dont even want to check to see if it does it again since it could cause so much damage to the engine.
