Just rumors of some possible small changes..
The Wait is going to be extremely hard, since right now I have NO car...
This will be my second time around for a special order.
When the IS300 debuted in the USA over 7 years ago.. I was one of the 1st on the East Coast...
Ordered every option except wood interior accents.
I ordered it in March/April of 2000 and took delivery July 3rd 2000..
Got it in 3 months..
Jeez.. that was 7 years ago TODAY!!!

I'm hoping for the same 3 month wait this time around.

i had a good experience at santa monica.
perhapd these dealerships are getting so big that in a few year's all sales will be done over the internet and delivered to your house. much like they do for a large percentage of cars in japan.
enjoy your 2gen IS!

No it's not! Just live in the Northeast and order your car around October/November. That's what I did. Then every time it snows you're glad your IS hasn't arrive early.

JoeZ. I called South Bay and spoke with Gloria. For a 07 IS350 luxury w/ rear spoiler and ML she quoted me $40750 + ttl. She said it is $1K over invoice. Does this sound about what you got?

That's what I thought as well. When my dad bought his SC430 years ago, the used SC430's were selling for about $10K more than the new ones. Basically, the dealer was bribing the people who were on the waiting list to do a cashless transaction that simply converted the new car to a used one so the dealer could sell it for much more than MSRP. They offered my dad several thousand bucks to buy him out of his car, but he kept it anyway.
