B piller rattle. Is it a tick, tick, tick, tick sound when you go over rough roads or turns on the freeway? If so, I may have a fix for you. I had a rattle by my left ear from the day I picked up my car. Dealership could not fix it and they messed-up my door. My sunroof rattled, dash rattled.
I loss sleep over it and figured out ways to fix it and now my car is slient. I love driving it now.

Those of you with rattles, do they appear right away? I only have about 2000 miles on my IS, and so far so good. Knock on wood...

Sorry to hear about your problems, but if your service dept takes so long to fix a rattle and doesn't solve it after a couple of tries, it's a sign that you should take it elsewhere.

There is no reason your car should be in there for over 2 weeks for a rattling problem. Unless a part was broken and it was backordered, then it is not satisfactory for a brand new car just to sit there. You mentioned you had to get Corporate involved, sounds like a shady dealer.

I too would like to know the fix. I have the same ticking noise coming from the passenger side.

Yeah, me too. I've had mine for 3 months now, and no rattles to be found. I don't drive rough though. I drive more like a grandma.

Mine's going in tomorow for three rattles (including creaking/rattling all over the place on the center stack), the brake TSB, and an oil change.

I might sound pessimistic, but I'll be SHOCKED if this all gets fixed right the first time. Meanwhile, my wife's POS Ford Escape is rattle free, with zero problems, for half the price.

play that stereo loud! this always takes care of the problem.

i agree with you on the Quality point and what you expect. i had this with an Acura and the more i took it back to have them fix the worse the car was. i hope that things turn out for the best for you. i had a noise in my car when it was cold after i first got it but it has gone away, or i hope. i will find out when it gets cold again in chicago.

Best of luck to you!

Maybe you are ..... crazy, that is. If no one else seems to hear them are you sure they are that noticeable?

It's amazing how the Escapes do not rattle. I know of several people that own these and you are correct. However, if you look at the way the dash is constructed, it's almost one solid piece of plastic. Cheep plastic it may be, but it's really the design that makes the difference here.

I have the say that notwithstanding the occasional snapping of the center console on hot days; which is to too be expected, my IS350 is very rattle-free. Impressive considering that the IS350 rides much harder than an Escape.

I don't know...I think Lexus cost cut the hell out of this car when it comes to the little things like insulating to prevent rattles. I'm finally letting the dealer rip it apart and try to fix it, because it's become so bothersome to me that I drive my beater some days rather than the IS350 so I don't have to hear rattles!!!

I've had this car for one year and have 4,700 miles on it. It's only enjoyable to me right now when it's sitting in the garage. I hope I can report resolution to the problems soon.

I've never had to do this yet, but I've heard from others around here that lots of foam is the cure for these rattles. There is a thread somewhere in here on some DIYs for rattles.

I'll try to find it and post a link. Mods may beat me to it.
