Can you get IS oil filters at the Toyota dealer?

Call Carson Toyota and ask for Luis. He'll ship the element to your house for </> $6 each. He'll even give you the drain plug gasket for free if you ask.

Back in 2007 (when this thread was from) no Toyota models in North America used the same filter as the IS, starting in 2009, they did.
Now, every Toyota dealer will probably have the YZZA5 (AWD) in stock, but not all will have the YZZA3 (RWD). The A5 will work with either.

To go a little further, The YZZA5 comes with an additional O-ring and a plastic insert for draining the filter housing. The YZZA3 does not have these additional parts, used for a vertically mounted filter.
The filter elements are identical between the two.
