Default Gap between NAV and dash

I’m new to CL. I just purchase this vehicle last month and right now I notice there is a gap on the right side between NAV and dash. Anyone have this problem? Should I bring the car back to dealership to fix? Will this be under the warranty? Thx in advance.

that sucks man. I had gap too but after they took my dash apart for a rattle I had, it was gone when I got back with no other gap anywhere else. I got lucky.

Funny thing is I was worried about more gaps or extra rattles when I found out they had to remove the dash. When I got it back I was amazed that teh gap was gone and I still haven't found anymore to this day. Also all the rattles are gone, their fixed actually worked!!!!

My advice to you is try the dealer and if they cant fix it them have them remove the whole dash and put it back together. Good luck though, I know how you feel.

The gap changes from installation to installation. A few of us with the nav hack will attest to that; we get more or less gap change after taking out the nav unit. I'm not sure if it's a warranty issue; if it really bothers you, reposition it slightly by taking it out and putting it back in.

I have a large gap on the top from prying the vents out for the nav hack. It isn't bad and no one has noticed it but me...but i hate it.

Out of curiosity, why does the Nav show 76 gas station icon and M icon for McDonalds? Vs showing icons for other stations and restaurants? Do you have it set like that or does the Nav always show you fast food places and gas all over?

this is an option that you can have either on or off with the navi system. in some areas it becomes too much as there are too many icons. i have always had them off on all my cars and you can turn it on or simply say find nearest gas station.

for the gap i would have the dealer fix it. just needs to be moved over and all should be fine. too bad that passed QC but good thing is that it can be corrected. good luck with it.

I did notice some gapping issues in some of the cars on the lot I looked at before I ordered mine; specifically there was a "large" gap on the top - where the vents meet the dash pad. This was one of the 1st things that I looked at before delivery, and lucky for me, everything is very tight fitting.

It's quite amazing how tight and perfectly aligned the seams are on my dash, but I see that is not the case on all vehicles.
