If you were going 15 over the limit why are you blaming the cops? If you speed and get caught whose fault is that? And now you want to get out of it? If you can't do the time don't do the crime. You can try to fight it, but is it worth your time and effort? Pay the fine, take driving school, and take it as a lesson.

I have to agree with VikDaddy; from what I've observed, local lawyers who handle many traffic cases in the specific court where yours is being heard seem to have a much better success rate getting a ticket dismissed on a technicality than an unrepresented defendant making the same arguments would.
If you don't want to hire a lawyer, it is not uncommon for prosecutors to amend the charges on a minor speeding case if you talk to them before the trial. Usually you'll agree to plead guilty to a lesser charge that carries a substantial fine, but no points against your license, and no impact on your insurance rates.

Ive had 3 tickets for speeding. I usually sign the ticket go to court and the judge asked me if i had any violation in the last year. I answered no and was put on probation for 90 days. Didnt mess up in those 90 days so nothing went on my record. Buddy of mine in the army is a cop in civilian world and he told me its a complete waste to get a lawyer.

Anyway, slow down and don't get ticket. Do not speed more than 10miles over posted limit and you will be fine. Good luck...

and as Evitzee says, pay the fine and take traffic school. Be a man and take your punishment without whining about it!

That no longer works in the state of california, in fact as along as the plate, vin and CDL match up it does not matter.
man thier are too many myths about traffic laws, If you really want to know about CAL. traffic laws; go buy a Cal veh. Code book and know the law, that way you really know where the real loop holes are.
