Wut does the gears on the automatic transmission 2 and L mean?

The gear selector on the 2IS doesn't have a "2" or an "L" position.

Means you want to keep the trans in a lower or even lower gear (2 or 1 respectively) for more power (like if you were pulling something up a hill or something).

Yeah, the 2IS doesn't have that.

Perhaps dAiLL3sT is referring to the 1IS?

is this just a question in general , or does it pertain to the IS350, if it pertains to the 350 ....i smell an impostor!!!!!

Sounds like you might have the wrong forum. The 2IS does not have a 2 or and L "Position"

What's neat about the IS is that it was made to drive in low gears consistently as compared to vehicles without a sequential shift transmission (depending on how you use it). 1-6 respectively.
