Yellow overlay fog looks good or not

Can't make up my mind whether to get yellow overlay, do you think it looks good on a starfire pearl or not. Or just keep it clear to give a clean look?
Should I get a clear vinyl to protect the lens anyway, I have a feeling it's going to look like hell in a few years.
BTW Has anyone got pulled over for yellow fog lights ON when there is no fog in CA?

With a white car you could go with yellow, blue, OR smoke. Any of those colors would look good.
BTW I have never gotten hassled for mine - it's such a sutble change I don't think cops even notice?
