Just be sure when you buy an analog thermometer like that you test its accuracy. Ice water should be 32 degrees, so its a pretty good single check point.

Just another possibility. Maybe the A/C compressor goes into overdrive mode the first few mintues of running to cool the car down faster then runs in normal mode afterwards. Just a thought since some of you guys say that the A/C drops to below freezing for a bit then comes back up to the 35-40F range.

Also, I'm in agreement that Toyota has some of the best AC's out there. Driving around in a BMW or Benz in scorching hot summer days here in Texas isn't too much fun lol. There's also a lot of those ballers in Dubai that had Benz S600's or BMW 760's that sell their cars and trade in for a LS460 just because the german counterparts couldnt keep up in the 115-120F heat! They said the Lexus AC could keep their cars icy cold on those hot days.

Also, my friends usually like to ride in my car because it has the coldest A/C out of all their cars. And yes it's still ice cold now even after having a big *** intercooler in front of the AC condenser and boosted motor lol

My test was done after driving around town for 10/15 mins first 10 min was about 25-35 mph and the last 5 mins was about 40 mph on a longer stretch of road, the pic above was taken at the end of that 15 min drive going about 40. So for what it's worth the car had been running for more than a few mins. I will say a diff of 63 degrees was a huge diiff for my location.

I wonder if the temp would have gotton lower going at higher speed for longer period.
