Has anyone else noticed their center console squeaking and creaking? I find this to be very annoying, all I have to do is lightly touch the thing and it makes noise. It makes the car feel cheap. 07 IS 250.

On a hot day when my car has been sitting out for some time, yes it happens. I have accepted it as normal since the materials will have to expand and contract in heat/cold. But within few minutes of turning on AC it goes away almost completely.

You should take it to the dealer and complain if yours is happening all the time regardless of temperature.

 

Lexus has a known mid-dash rattle issue related to the "windshield tabs". Is your rattle near the windshield? If so, it may be the tabs. The dealer has to trim the two top and two bottom tabs that are behind the dash. I had this issue with my 07 RX350 and it resolved the rattle. Just an idea...

 

brought mine in for the dash noises maybe only a few pops here and there and when i got it back it was worse than before! basically if you can live with it and seems minor then don't mess with the dash.
