I see you have an 07...

There should be a TCS button right next to your ETC button (PWR - SNOW).

Come to a stop, or put it in park. Press and hold for 3 seconds. The (TCS) button should light up, then 3 seconds later the (VSC off) light should come on.

TCS and VSC are now disabled.

Be careful

you dont have to hold the botton down to turn off traction control!
just press it once and it will turn off trac control but once you get over 25mph-33mph it will come back on! if you want to turn off trac control and vehicle stablity control then hold the botton down for about 5 seconds and it will disable both

^^^exactly correct. You cannot turn VDIM off, just TCS and VSC as described above.

finally a way to hopefully turn off traction control, from a simple google search.

" The Lexus IS evidently has its own cheat code to turn off the traction control. While I think that vehicles like the Corvette should be equipped with four levels of user-determined traction control, I did get a big kick out of this as a member of the Nintendo generation.

Posted on VWVortex Forums, here's the cheat code:

"start the car with the parking brake on ….then foot brake twice….(keep the foot brake down)….then parking brake twice (keep it down )and repeat till skid light is on the dash…..it will reset when you restart the car"

^^that isn't how you do it on an '07. Only the '06s need the pedal dance. Both methods are in the FAQ. There are many other useful items in the FAQ, and it is a good place to start when trying to find specific answers to specific problems.
