Hi Guys,

As per your questions:

1) al503 - Glad to hear you are happy with the bulbs!! The pics look great!

2) The bulbs are in stock and ready to ship. You can place your order here:

http://www.xenondepot.com/product.php?product_id=158

3) You lose approx 20% of useable light output going from the 4300k to the 6000k bulbs. Although these bulbs are new, we have had many satisfied customers that have upgraded their vehicles with 6000k D2S bulbs and have been very happy with the colour and light output (rainy days included). I completely agree that higher K bulbs are not good in the rain however not with 6000k bulbs.

4) The bulbs are straight from Japan!

Regards,

Steve

Philips quotes ~3200 lumens for their stock 4100K bulbs. They quote ~2400 lumens with the 6000K ultinons. When I switched out the stock bulbs in my g35, I noticed the decrease in lumens right away and it was obvious.

With these bulbs, there really isn't that much of a difference. I actually think that these bulbs are probably closer to ~5300K as they aren't quite as purple as the ultinons (which are really 5800K) and still have a tinge of blue.

Put it this way...

5-7 years ago behind HID systems were "big" and common, we had regular halogens, which have a DRAMATIC decrease of output compared to any HID system, even 8000k's.

Now sure 6000k's have roughly 20% less output than 4300k's, but at the same time think about how much more light output you have over regular halogens.

If you're very concerned with light output, you may want to keep your stock bulbs, or even downgrade to 3800k's, but if you're looking for a slightly blueish/purple tint bulbs, and reconigze that 6000k's will still put a LOT more output than regular halogens, then you should upgrade.

I'll also be taking detailed pictures of the bulbs.

Also - It might be helpful if it's possible to take a picture from inside, at night, facing the road in the car equipped with 6000k's, then then same exact thing, but in another car with 4300k's.

Hello,

Yup D4S 6000k bulbs. These bulbs will be a direct replacement for your OEM HID headlight.

I have started a thread here as well:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...84#post2784684

Lets work off the above thread as it is in the right forum.

Steve
