I'm trying to get a sealed box custom made for my 10W7. I want it to be slanted back so that I can save as much space as possible. I need to know the angle of the back seat against the trunk. I dont' have the protractor they use to measure the angle, does anyone happen to know? Can someone with the tool measure it for me please. This is a one for all thread folks, the next person can use this info to make a box for their IS, please help.

you can make an angle finder simply by taking 2 pieces of wood, cut to about the shape of a paint mixing stick (you can actually use paint sticks if you want!), hold them side by side, and screw/fasten one screw/fastener into the end of one side.

open the two pieces of wood inside the trunk until you come in contact with both the back of the seat and the bottom of the trunk!

go and invest in a child's protractor (looks like this)


they can't cost more than 2 bucks, its just a clear piece of plastic! take your opened pieces of wood and calculate the angle using the protractor!

but in my opinion; you should start thinking outside of the box (literally) and make yourself a fiberglass box. they are lighter and you can take full advantage of every extra square inch of space inside your trunk. i made my box for my 10w3 on the left side of the wheel well. it came out beautiful!
