I'm getting ready to take my first road trip in my IS in a few weeks (Dallas to San Antonio). For those of you who don't have a clear bra did you put anything on your bumper/hood for the road trip? Either 3M tape or a bra??

I am surprised you had runs where your actual MPG was lower than the MPG indicated. I've never seen that in my 15 fillups thus far. Usually my actual is at least .5 more than display... That last run is especially problematic if you are down to your last gallon and the display is optimistic by 1.7MPG. That's over 20 miles short on the range you'd think you'd have...

my MPG sucked.
dash indicated 26-27.
however the AC was on and i was going a bit over the speed limit.
also had to slow down for construction sitesand bad drivers, who use the lft lane and don't look for flashing high beams

I've gone back and forth from Houston to Baton Rouge, Louisiana many times in my IS250. 280 miles each way.
Gas mileage is outstanding, as I usually get 32.2 mpg with the AC set at 73, and cruise control set at 75mph. The car has 3800 miles on it now.
My former Corolla could barely top that gas mileage, and it was a very rough ride.

Speaking of gas milage...has anyone noticed that the low fuel light comes on especially early. I mean it seems like mine is coming on with like 1/8 of a tank left. Whats the lowest anyone has gotten on the range. Ive gotten mine down to 12miles. I saw in this thread someone got down to 10.

It's more than that. Case in point today, it came on last night while I was 10 miles from home. Then I drove another 25 miles to work to fillup, and ended up filling 15.3 gallons. So there's theoretically 1.9 gallons in the tank, and I must have used up at least 1, so I say about 3 gallons makes the light come on, and 3/17.2 is > 1/8 so it's not surprising the light comes on when it does.
I drove about 10 miles past 0 miles remaining also. I've been going 5 to 10 miles past 0 on the computer and have never filled more than 15.4 gallons.
(Disclaimer: I drive a IS350, but drove for max MPG this entire tank. My tank average indicator was 26.3 MPG, but actually 27.5 based on mileage/gallons. Not bad for a standard work commute of 25 miles each way in Bay Area traffic).
