I signed the waiver for them not to drill the holes on the night I deal was settle. The minute they brought my car to the front door. The license plate was there. I was like wtf. I already knew the chances of me getting one that wasn't drill at the dock is almost less to none. Once I sat in the car, I have to drive it home, the front license plate does not bother me a bit. It also helps when i receive 1000 under invoice, the options I wanted, and the hard to find GFM at that time. I couldn't let this deal pass me by.

Yup. It's not a matter of choice. It's the law in CA, so I'm going to have the dealer drill mine at 5K service also...
If it was a fix-it ticket, I'd risk one time. but since it's just a straight up 3 digit fine (I think), hello drill. I could be wrong on the fine amount, but I know it's not worth paying for the look.

I'm hearing different things for CA. Some people are saying fix-it, others are saying that's not the case anymore, and others are saying it's the officer's discretion on how much he hates you.
How do you "fix-it" 25 times? Do you pretend to put one on to get the cop to sign off on it?

The cost of the ticket isn't always the issue. I don't like being pulled over period. Especially if I've had a drink at happy hour after work (and no, I don't drink more than one, and I know that I'm far below the legal limit of 0.08).
The cops around here will give you a ticket for simply breaking wind, and it is better to avoid giving them a reason to pull you over.
Welcome front plate!!!
