Crampy back there but possible. Do yourself a favor and get a bigger car. If you really want a Lexus car, then get at least a GS or ES. How about an RX? Just too hard on your back to crawl into such a small and crampy space.

It's tight for a full blown car seat, but once your kid is big enough to get in a booster, it's fine. My oldest is 4 years old and he's got plenty of room back there.

Oh hell, why not just go for the LS 460L if you want real space.

im 6-foot and i really cant have anyone sitting behind me unless i want my knees in the dashboard. So i put pull the passenger seat forward and the car seat goes behind that and my 6 yr old sits in the middle.

I have a 7 and 5 year old and they fit back there with no problem at all. They both have the smaller type booster seats now. But even when I had the big car seats for small children (which I just got rid of for my daughter), she fit in perfectly.

It's depend on how tall you and your wife are. I have one kid, another one coming up, and the car seat fit fit tightly. Sometime I wish, I bought a gs instead of is, but I really like the car though.
