Default why does my is250 have a rougher ride now?

i am at 6800 miles on my car now and have noticed for the last 1000 miles or so that the car feels much rougher than before. i seem to feel every bump in the road and at times i think i've thrown a weight maybe on my tire. I do still see the weights there though and my tire psi is what they suggest. anyone else experience this? could the tires be more worn now so i am feeling more or maybe the shocks?

i got rid of my firebird for these reasons and never imagined i would have this with a luxury car. i have yet to take it to the dealership yet to see what they think. i have not hit any potholes and always take it slow over the few speed bumps i encounter. i drive mostly highway miles. i don't think it's out of alignment as it tracks straight when i test it from time to time.

thanks for your time!

The IS isnt the smoothest ride around, if you really wanted a real smooth ride you should have gone for an ES.

struts/shocks on lexus' almost never go bad. my friends dad has 170k on his 92 SC. he took it to the dealer and said he wanted the struts changed. they asked him why...did he notice a rough ride? he said, no, it just has a lot of miles so he figured it was time. they sort of laughed and told him they had never changed the shocks/struts on a vehicle. while this may have been a stretch, i doubt any lexus less than 7-10 years old needs shocks (unless youve been off roading it or something).

The IS isnt that smooth on rough surfaces. I can feel bumps easily to if the road is bumpy or uneven. The IS has low profile tires. I dont think the dealer will do anything for you in this case. Your last resort will be blown shocks. But I do not know if this is the case here.

Maybe you bought the wrong car? A ES350 probably has the smooth ride that you are looking for. IS is more on the stiff sporty side.

Changing your tires might help. Less performance, maybe less noise too. Read below on the tires I run. You live in FL so snow isn't an issue for you, but the UHP tires are not ones to take to the track. I love them on the highway and look very aggressive too. 17" wheels would help too.

Somebody said the 07s were going to have a slightly stiffer spring, but I don't know if it's true or not. I'm running Eibach springs which is stiffer ride, but I will say that my tires, General UHP, are alot more quiet of a tire make the ride almost the same as stock. I feel the bumps more, but the noise is alot less. UHP are summer only tires.

I have 35k miles on my one year old car.

same thing with mine ,, i feel it's rougher .. but it's not that bad i surely can live with it ..
but How can i know if the springs or Shocks are blown ?
and will having passengers at the back affect this badly?

My experience may be backwards, but after the dealership aired the tires up to spec at 10K, my ride *seemed* to improve. FYI. However I do plan on getting better tires next year.

are you sure it feels rougher? maybe it's because your body is use to the car now. when you first drive a new/different car it's always gonna feel smoother then u just get use to the feeling...

Get 17" rims with a 50mm sidewall.
