Default question about window tints....

hello, i recently had my window tinted, the shop that did it for me did a really good job, except for the front passenger window, for some reason there is this on spot near the edge where this "finger" wont go down. they told me that there's nothing they can do about it cause the reason why is becuase when the dealership detail my car they probally spray silicon on my car. and now the silicon is preventing the tint film from sticking to my window. they told me that what i could do to solve it is buy a new window. does anyone here have the same problem, or know about? or is the shop BS'ing me about it???

Sounds like BS. Even if they sprayed Silicon on your windows, which I dont know why they would, a couple wipes with ammonia should rip it all off...

I smell BS.

Total BS. They need to make that damn tint stick and look perfect or remove it and give you your money back since its a job they could not complete! Go back there and dont be afraid to tell them what needs to be done or you will want your money back.

They're trying to cheat you dude. They should clean and at least inspected the window before they place the tint. If there's any problem, they should inform you right away. I think that should be the proper protocol. I just have my windows tinted last week, it took me some research to find a good tint shop. Goodluck.

U bet thats totally Bs. They SHOULD have cleaned the window prior to install. Tell them to read the instructions glass must be dirt And oil free (Silicone). Before appyling window film. As ben stated don't be afraid to jump all over them
