Wowwww...They are charging $489.95 for my $30K maintenance at Lexus of Smithtown.
I got one of those 2007 Lexus Maintenance Schedules and its says $420.24 plus $23.00 to inspect front differential oil - which comes to $443 - difference of about $50 bucks. Is Lexus ripping me off or what.
And for wiper refills - $33.00 for part and install.
Geez...

There is nothing you have to really check or service at 30K. The car is still new at that point. Just make sure you change your oil every 5K at least and you should be fine. The 30K service is a rip off.

My lexus wanted $429 for the standard 30k, and would replace all the fluids (tranny/coolant ect) for $729 called the Complete Service.
I checked into it and the fluids don't really need to be changed until 60k. So I got a $40 oil change, bought the AC Filter and Airbox Filter for about $65 shipped from Toad.com or something like that and was done with it.
My car was only 10 months old at 30k miles, and it's a Lexus/Toyota. If the fluids are breaking down from highway miles at 3k rpms then we have a problem. I also did the TSIB for brake pads and the changed the brake fluid for free as well, so really they wanted, what, $300+ for changing the Tranny and Coolant fluids??? Stealerships for sure.
