Default Drop In FIlters: HKS vs K&N vs Blitz

So I'm looking to buy a drop in filter for it's reusability. Performance would just be a bonus. I think these three are the main candidates. Can anyone tell me which would be best in terms of price savings/reusability?

Thanks!

what about maintenence wise? do all of them require you to oil them? I know that KN does... not sure about the other two...

The OEM filter has been proven to perform just as well as any other. However, if you really want a reusable filter, I suggest the HKS. It doesn't use oil, so it won't damage the MAF sensor.

I've got the K&N drop in. I put one in just about every vehicle that I drive. For $50, you get a slight performance increase, a slight engine sound increase (perhaps making you think that there's a performance increase), and the savings in money by not having to replace the filter every whatever-thousand miles.

So, I recommend it. In regard to the oil/MAF sensor issue: K&N is one of, if not THE best in the business, and while the potential makes sense, I don't think K&N would put something to market that would damage vehicles.

Specific to the IS. On my specific car, I noticed better acceleration going through the rev range (as in the car seemed to accelerate to redline faster), and noticed a little more grunt under the hood. And, since the car had 15K miles, I needed to change the filter shortly anyway.

I don't know about the HKS but a K&N does nothing until you hit 5000 RPM.
Go with an intake system if you want a gain in performance or stay with paper.
IMO,the only advantage of a K&N is not buying filters. If that's important to you then go K&N.
