I could not avoid running over tire debris from a blowout on the road today. How much damage could it have done to my underside of my car? Should I take it to a dealer to get it looked at? Thanks.

I did the same... ruined the front gfx piece only... the bottom of the car up on the lift at the dealer was perfect. I was expecting the worst... And a little tip... Buy from the midwest dealers the gfx. Tampa, where I just moved to, wanted $480 for a part that I got for $300 from the dealer I bought the car from in Illinois.

Check the rear shields. They are small air dams right in front of the rear tires that almost look like a mudguard under the rocker panel. There is a push pin that will break and allow this piece to move and potentially fall off the car when the shield gets hit hard. AMHIK.
Also, the pin is should be cheap because it's sacrificial, but apparently is a source of revenue for Lexus dealers. MSRP is $4.52, but I have seen it as low as $3.84 online. The part number is 75867-30120.
