Default Exhaust Tip Rust..Inside

Have an 07 IS350, 5 months old, 2800 miles and have noticed a patina of rust on the bottom of the inside of the right exhaust inner pipe and also the chrome tip. It may be the result of normal condensation, but am not sure. Has anyone else experienced this, or can suggest a cause. Thanks.

Stainless can be affected by harsh cleaners and then rust. I had a neighbor that cleaned his stainless grill (an expensive one) with a strong degreasers and the grill immediately started to rust everywhere he applied the degreaser.

Exxon premium. Here in Canada known as Esso.

Also excuse earlier post error. It is the LEFT tip that is rusty.

As far as cleaning, I don't clean the inside of the tip where the rust is. As for the outside I just wash it with the same Maguiars car washing detergent as used for the body panels. Would not suggest any abrasive cleaner here. Had a MR2 Turbo with really solid stainless steel exhaust pipes, not just the tips. On these I used Mothers aluminium/metal cleaner...a slight abrasive. Great results...never discoloured, stained, rusted after many years of this type of care. Possible reason...quality of stainless steel...they are all not created equal.
