i don't think a factory alarm system is going to stop someone from taking the car if they really want it. i had a Viper system on my old eclipse and it got annoying because it would go off when i was trying to get into it and at odd times when no one was messing with it. i started to hope someone would just take the car it got so frustrating lol.
