People in the US market are spoiled as we get the most selection. Other countries with smaller markets, like Australia, don't get all of the line. Hence this special edition. It would be rare in Australia with only 260 copies made. But I'm not fond of the badge at all.
Hopefully they will eventually import the IS350 to the Australian market, although it would be pricey due to exchange rates, duties and Aussie sales practices. Just visited Lexus.au: An IS250 Sports Package with Nav/ML costs the princely sum of US$69,700 at current exchange rates. If available, an IS350 would be in the range of US$78,800. US residents, count your blessings and go hug your dirt cheap IS (relatively speaking). This extremely high pricing is one reason why a car lease in Australia is often included as part of ones pay package. It allows the company to give the employee something that he couldn't afford on his own as there are different tax consequences for car leases as part of remuneration, and someone buying it on their own. When I lived in Australia I bought a brand new 1997 Toyota Corolla (10 years ago) with 5 speed manual and A/C. As I recall it was about US$16,000, and that was a fleet price!
