Default Glove box removal

Good evening

I just bought the original Lexus iPod integration box and I want to install it that the iPod can be left in the glove box. Does anybody know how to uninstall the glove box that I can install the iPod there?

Thanks for help - pics would even be more helpful

Cheers from Switzerland

Wait... what kit is this? Lexus makes an iPod integration kit? I was unaware of that.

Yes - in Switzerland it is available since a couple of weeks for CHF 310. The accessory part numbers are:

IS220 / 250:

Radio no Nav, with CD-Changer: PZ473-00263-A0
Radio with Navi, with CD-Changer: PZ473-00263-A0
Radio with Navi, with DVD-Changer: PZ473-00264-A0

Manual: PZ420-00263-ME

Also available boxes for: RX350/400h , GS300/430/450h , LS460

But I don't know if you can get these in the US. Check it with your dealer.

Ok - I will do so. I first bougt the manual for a couple of CHF to check the functionality. It seems that it works like the Vaistech one but it is cheaper and it does not disable the stupid I-Agree button of the Nav unit after 5 secs as the Vaistech does. I think this is a disadvantage compared to Vaistech. Everything else seems to be similar with playlists an so on.

Finally I went for it to have an original part.

sure, the glove box install has been highly touted in japan.

do you mean the whole glove box or just the plastic frame inside it???

I posted the numbers in the first message - without Nav its

=> Radio no Nav, with CD-Changer: PZ473-00263-A0

In Switzerland you can get at:

Toyota AG
Schuermattstrasse 1, 5745 Safenwil/AG
+41 62 788 88 44

Please don't ask me if they have somebody who deals with the parts and speaks English. And I also don't know if they ship to Canada. But ask your dealer in Canada if you can get it.

Cheers

If I look at the picture you seem to be a glove box expert. I mean the whole glovebox, because I need to drill it for the cable and I think I can access the Nav unit backside to connect the cable then - without removing the whole Nav unit.
