Default 3000k hid fogs

i am thinking about purchasing 3000k hids for my foglights, but i am confused about the color output. the color i am looking for is yellow, more like the bright neon yellow. i have seen this color on the GS and IS300's.. is this the same color or very similar?? i've seen a couple of pics and the color output of these 3000k's are more towards the stock yellow.. is that how its suppose to be or its just their camera ?? if someone has this setup can you please post pics so i can make my decision thanks!

Are you looking for real HID system for the fogs or just halogen bulbs?

My Xtreme 3K doesn't look like yours. It'll depends on the angle where you look at the light. Straight on or small angle the Xtreme looks like white but more yellow when the angle increases. At the best, it is golden yellow, not the factory yellow I expected. I heard the XenonDepot' Phillips 3000K does look more yellow though...

Thats not my car haha its just a pic floating around. And Ive heard the same thing about the Philips bulbs. They do produce more of a yellow. Im sure every 3000k HID kit out there is about the same, its yellow at some angles and some angles its white-ish yellow.

Really better off finding a 2500 kit, as that'll be a bit more yellow than the 3000k.

3000k from a head on view is a very bright yellow, but no where near as yellow as what the older gen cars had.

So as you can see, the light output is certainly very yellow, but the appearance isn't anywhere near as yellow.

I see X's and Ive tried to look for a kit lower than 3000k but the people I spoke to said theres no such thing, but I couldve sworn a member has it on this forums on the ISx50 too!

there should be no X's. images are linked from CL gallery. I know when I was shopping around there were a couple of 2500 or 2700 true HID kits, or at least thats what I thought. I could be way off. I've had my lights for almost a year and a half now.
