Default Brakes and Rotors need replacemnt

Just went for my 25k service on my IS 250 AWD and the dealer is telling me that not only are my front brakes worn out but the rotors need replacement too .. He said this will cost me 575 +tax... Doesn't that sound high? Anyone have a suggestion where else I should go? I live in NJ.

Thanks

Doesn't all the dust on your wheels bother you?? It should. Take the TSIB relating to this problem and ask for new pads. No time or mileage limit. That will save you some money.

Print this and take it to the dealer. It is covered under the 50,000 mi, 4 year warranty.

Default Wow..

Why would the dealer not mention this.. IF its covered under warranty they get paid for it anyway. This really pisses me off.

It's not usual. I have nearly 35k on mine and the rotors are only 10% worn.

Unfortunately, unethical business practices, or pure uneducated ignorance of service issues, happen.

Take the TSB, tell them that it's covered under warranty, and don't pay a single dime.

Good luck!
