This DIY helps.

I used the Lexus pdf instructions without looking at the DIY and I was fine. The Lexus one is well written. Nothing your average joe can't do.

Hi everyone, does this work on a 2008 2IS without Nav radio? It has the SAT/AM button.

I just did the install today on my IS-F with Mark Levinson system. I did notice that with the IS-F Mark Levison, the cables that you have to connect are slightly different than the way the instructions say or even this FAQ says. There are 4 connectors that are connected to the amp.

Assuming looking directly into the trunk, the amp is to the right side.
The connectors have the following setup
(Mark Levinson)
Connector 1] Remove and connect to harness

Connector 2]

Connector 3]

Connector 4] Remove and connect to harness

In the FAQ's for the standard radio, connectors 1 and 3 are the ones removed and hooked up to the harness. Figured I'd mention this to make it easier for those who do this with the Mark Levinson.

Just installed today... Would add that if you type in "clublexus" as the promo code instead of CL911M on the sewell site, it will cost you about $10 less.

Ben,

This is very helpful. I am going to be installing Sirius using the shark fin antenna next weekend. I wasn't sure how to remove the trunk and where that antenna (shark fin) connector was.

Thanks,

Mike

This is a really great write up. I have ordered my XM radio kit and plan to install it this weekend.

I do have a question for those that have done this installation. I realize that disconnecting the battery will require the windows to be re-initialized. But will I also lose my phone book entries and my stored nav destinations?

You should be OK with the phone book entries and nav destinations. But, you will probably need to reset your radio stations and bass and treble adjustments. You may also have to re-set your memory seats if you have these features.
