So I am either stepping down or stepping up from a 04 Lincoln LS V6 to a Lexus Is 250 ... Picking her up tomorrow.
The LS has descent pick up, but is quite heavy..
Please let me know your thoughts...

My reasons for looking for a new car...
1. Gas Mileage was horrible in the LS.
2. Not very reliable, car was in the shop 12 times in the last yr. Has all new coil packs.. new trans etc... (no longer under warranty)

The Lincoln LS was not a bad effort by Ford, I've driven them and it was pretty good. As you stated, reliablity was pretty bad and it never fared too well in comparisons.
Since the car is now discontinued, moving to a IS 250 is a step up, even if its a smaller car. Good luck

Regardless the IS is smaller, that is a major STEP UP. Doesn't the LS have like only 230hp too? If so, there won't be any loss in quickness either.
Great choice!

My brother has a V8 LS, i love it. It rides smooth and is pretty quick. From what i heard, the V6 is less reliable than the V8. The IS has less room, and has a spotier feel. The ride of the 250 is harsher than the V8 my brother drives.
