Default How much oil?

For those of you DIY oil changers on your IS250/350, out of curiosity how much oil do you put in? (after full drain of oil in the crankcase and filter canister). I know the manual states 6.6 quarts, but it seems a bit much.

Compared to what? Mine took 6.8 last time. What's your point?

Just wanted to know how much people were putting in comparison to what the manual states.

LOL! Yeah. What are you trying to imply?

I put in just over 6 quarts and that got me about 2/3 up between the L and F.

I suspect he owned an older car of similar displacement with significantly less oil capacity. For example, the 3 liter in the '95 Maxima I once owned took just 4 quarts.

I don't think I've put in more than 6 quarts after a drain. New oil is so hard to see on the dip stick that I'm paranoid about overfilling it.

So what are you saying, Bich.

I guess I'm the only one who gets my sense of humor (or the apparent lack thereof.)
